Thousands Expected for Replacements, Ltd.’s Fall Sidewalk Sale

GREENSBORO, N.C., September 3, 2009 – Thousands of value-conscious consumers are expected to turn out for Replacements, Ltd.’s Fall Sidewalk Sale, slated for September 18 – 20. The world’s largest supplier of old and new china, crystal, silver and collectibles plans to turn the company’s sidewalks and parking lot into a bargain hunter’s paradise by offering heavily discounted prices, some up to 90 percent off MSRP.

“We recently took advantage of great savings on popular patterns from well-known manufacturers including Lenox and Johnson Brothers and want to pass those discounts along to the public,” says Robin Long, Replacements’ vice president of marketing and business development. “I think the fact we had dozens of people lined up when we opened for a similar event earlier this year reflects the reality that consumers are shopping smarter and looking to stretch their dollars more than ever before by looking for the best value they can find in this tough economy.”

Savvy shoppers will find bargains on thousands of pieces of inventory, including china, glassware, flatware and collectibles.

“We expect this event will be our biggest sale of the year, with truckloads of inventory at tremendously discounted prices,” says Showroom Manager Keith Winkler. “Shoppers will be able to purchase by the individual piece or in bulk, allowing them to set their entire table at a fraction of the retail cost. Plus this sale also marks a great way to get a jump start on holiday shopping.”

The sale runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. September 18 and 19, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 20. Replacements is located just off I-40/I-85 (exit 132) at 1089 Knox Road, McLeansville, N.C.
